DAY 1. CUSCO - SAYLLAPATA - MARCOCASA.-
We leave Cusco at 7:00 am, passing the Pampa de Anta, Limatambo that presents an agricultural valley with corn, potato, vegetable and fruit plantations. Around 9:00 am we will be in TARAWASI ( 2380 m.a.s.l.) to visit this archaeological complex, and then continue to MOLLEPATA ( 2850 m.a.s.l.) where we will arrive at approximately 10.30 am, in this place we will have the meeting with our muleteers . Here we start with our hike towards SAYLLAPATA ( 3470 m.a.s.l.). First camp (Bus 3 hours - walk 4 hours).
DAY 2. MARCOCASA-SALKANTAYPAMPA.-
From our camp we can see the Nevado Umantay and part of the Mollepata Valley. During the tour we pass the villages of: Onq opata, Cheqchekancha, Ch`allakancha, Soraypampa and Salkantay Pampa, to then ascend to the SALKANTAYPAMPA camp ( 4100 m.a.s.l.).
DAY 3. ICHUPAMPA - PAMPAQAHUANA.-
We ascend slowly for about 2 hours passing through the highest point of INKAC HIRIASQA ( 4,800 m.a.s.l.), with a beautiful view of glacial lagoons of different colors. Then we descend a zigzagging path until we reach the community of PAMPAQAWANA ( 4000 m.a.s.l.) where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the Inka Channel that is found in the plain.
DAY 4. PAMPAQAWANA - WAYLLABAMBA.-
We continue descending where we already find human settlements, farmland, the presence of animals, we are leaving grasslands of wild straw and ichu, in turn we will see bushes, bamboos, trees , orchids and a variety of birds. We will also visit the archaeological remains of PAUKARKANCHA, which is a Tambo; that is, a place of rest and storage. At approximately 3:00 pm we will be at the Wayllabamba camp ( 3000 m.a.s.l.).
DAY 5. WAYLLABAMBA - PAKAYMAYU.-
We will have a wake-up tea at 6 am, then we will get our things ready. Breakfast will be at 7 am. Later we will begin to walk from 3,000 m.a.s.l. to the highest part of the WARMIWAÑ USQA "dead woman" pass ( 4,200 m.a.s.l.). During the tour we will have the possibility of seeing some orchids and birds, since we will go into a cloud forest and then go out to the grasslands with the presence of cold and fog. Around noon we will be in the Abra and we will rest for a moment to enjoy the panoramic view of the place. We will descend in 5 min. To the place of lunch, and then continue towards our second PAKAYMAYU camp.
DAY 6. PAKAYMAYU - WIÑAYWAYNA.-
After two days of physical effort, today is mostly spiritual in nature as we will visit Archaeological sites complemented by different landscapes. The second step of the way is RUNTURAQAY ( 3,990 m.a.s.l.) where we will have the possibility of seeing the two chains of snow-capped mountains: One from Urubamba and the other from Vilcabamba, which are part of the Andes Mountains. Approximately at 4 pm. We will arrive at the WIÑAYWAYNA camp.
DAY 7.- WIÑAYWAYNA-MACHU PICCHU- CUSCO.-
This day we will leave very early around 5 am. to be at the PUERTA DEL SOL and receive the welcome from MACHUPICCHU to take many photos from this place where we will have the first impression of the INKA city, an hour later we will put an end to our dream and enjoy one of the Wonders of the World, where Your guide will explain the benefits of this place, visiting the most important places in this sacred place of our ancestors.
